Thank you.

I've heard that advice before (both 'it's out there foreer' and 'be reasonably professional now')--it's why I began a blogger account and CoffeeQuill, even though I am still learning and only just beginning to query. I wanted someplace I could point agents to, which wouldn't be full of my younger, angsty rants or long-winded accounts of my school days.

I try to present my calm, practical face here, while still being myself. That means, like you say, finding that balance between professionalism and honest assessment of my own writing and attitude toward writing, which sometimes dips into those less-postivie moods.

And thank you for all the comments. (I am clearly still, slowly, building a readership here.)Sabrina Favorshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14303054417674236268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7176484070660608180.post-79454249423229353982009-10-09T13:15:23.788-10:002009-10-09T13:15:23.788-10:00Glad you are feeling better, and I hope you are ba...Glad you are feeling better, and I hope you are back to 100% soon!

It's a fine line between sounding like yourself and accidentally coming across as neurotic or even crazy. (I'd think if no one commented or stopped by any longer you might want to worry; but really you just sound like someone going through the throes of the getting-published/learning-to-write process.

It's your blog, so you really can say what you want. However, what you say stays in the aether of the Web forever. So it's probably best to heed the advice of a lot of folks out there who say that if you plan on being a professional writer, be reasonably professional on your blog now so as not to get your heinie bitten later.

That said, being yourself isn't a bad thing, I think anyhow!writtenwyrddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02280711822302493122noreply@blogger.com
